ソルビコア社、1MW燃料電池設備へのMEAを供給
ソルベイ社は1MWの余剰水素を燃料とする燃料電池設備を、関連会社であるソルビン社の工場内に設置する。これはベルギーフランダースとオランダ南部の水素プロジェクトの一貫であり、ヨーロッパにおけるこれまでの最大の燃料電池設備となる。
この燃料電池の心臓部となるMEA (Membrane Electrode Assembly = 膜電極接合体) は、ユミコアとソルベイのジョイントベンチャーであるソルビコア社 (SolviCore GnbH & Co. KG) が供給する。なお、燃料電池本体は、オランダの燃料電池会社であるネドスタック社が組立てる。
SolviCore supplies MEAs for 1MW fuel cell unit
Solvay s.a. will install a 1MW fuel cell unit using waste hydrogen fuel in a plant of Solvin, affiliate of Solvay. This is a part of hydrogen project in Flanders Belgium and Southern Netherlands. This will be the largest PEM fuel cell installation in Europe.
The MEAs (membrane electrode assembly), the key component of fuel cell, will be supplied by SolviCore GmbH & Co. KG, a joint venture between Umicore and Solvay. The fuel cell will be built by Nedstack, a fuel cell company from the Netherlands.
